Kochi: The Crime Branch raided a flat at Ravipuram here as part of the probe into the murder conspiracy case against actor Dileep and five others. The investigating team started the raid around 12.15 pm on Tuesday. The raid is being conducted based on the allegations raised by director Balachandra Kumar.
In his statement to the probe team, Kumar alleged that Dileep and the other accused have conspired to endanger the life of investigating officers who were in charge of the actress attack case at the flat in Ravipuram.
Meanwhile, the trial court ordered to complete the reinvestigation and submit the report over the actress assault case within a month. Even though the prosecution requested to grant six months to finish the reinvestigation, the trial court denied the demand. The prosecution is likely to file an appeal against the order issued by the trial court.
The High Court will soon pronounce its verdict over the anticipatory bail plea of Dileep on the conspiracy case and the examination of the mobile phones. The court had decided to settle the petitions by Tuesday following heated arguments over the anticipatory bail plea.
