Actress attack case: Verdict on Dileep’s discharge petition to be pronounced at 11


Kochi: The court on Saturday will pronounce the verdict on the discharge petition filed by actor Dileep in connection with the actress attack case.

The trial court will consider the plea filed by Dileep seeking removal of his name from the list of accused. He argued that the evidences and statements of witnesses against him are not valid.

The trial court in Kochi will pronounce the verdict by 11 am on Saturday. Dileep filed the discharge petition as the trial of the case is about to start.

It is pointed out in Dileep’s petition that there are no clear evidences against him in the charge sheet. However, the prosecution opposed these arguments. As there are matters that could possibly affect the privacy of the victim, the in-camera proceedings is taking place in the court.

According to the prosecution, call lists and same tower location of the key accused Pulsar Suni and Dileep are evidences. It also noted that removing Dileep from the list of accused will affect the case.
