Kochi: Actor Siddique has criticised the survivor in the actress attack case for lodging a complaint against the trial court judge. He pointed out that she should have appealed to a higher court instead of moving a complaint against the judge.
“If I was in her position, I won’t demand to transfer the case to another court. If she is not satisfied with the court’s verdict, she should approach a higher court,” said the actor.
He was addressing the media when he reached Thrikkakara to cast his vote in the bypoll.
Early this week, the survivor had approached the Kerala High Court with a petition stating that she wish the court intervenes as she suspects foul play in the investigation as it is entering its last phase.
Actor Dileep is the eighth accused in the actress attack case and he was in jail for more than two months in 2017. Last year, another case was also registered against him and his close associates for a revelation made by his former friend and director Balachandrakumar where he had conspired to do away with the police officials investigating the matter.
