Kochi: Kerala Crime Branch is likely to question the staff of the trial court hearing the actress attack case of 2017. The move from the crime branch came a day after a forensic report revealed that the memory card was illegally accessed while it was in court custody.
The probe team will submit a formal request in court for questioning. Meanwhile, Pulsar Suni's lawyer Pratheesh V Kurup said he saw the visuals inside the court premises in the presence of a judge in July 2021.
The visuals were played after a pen drive was connected to a laptop. But I haven't seen the memory card, he added.
A report submitted by the forensic team revealed the memory card was examined three times in the past. On two occasions, the examination was conducted during the night hours. The hash value of the memory card was found to be changed.
Earlier, the joint director of the State Forensic Science Laboratory had revealed that the memory card was opened multiple times illegally between 2017 and 2018. If the visuals of the incident are found to be leaked, then it will be a turning point in the case.
The deadline for concluding the further probe is July 15. However, if the hash value is changed, then a special probe will be required. Also, in the wake of former DGP R Sreelekha’s comments relating to the case, the team is likely to probe that angle too.
