Kottayam: The Crime Branch officials conducted raid at the residence of former Poonjar MLA PC George and his son Shaun George at Erattupetta on Thursday. A team led by Kottayam DySP carried out the raid as part of the probe into the actress attack case.
Sources close to Crime Branch revealed that the probe team initiated the raid after suspecting PC George’s son Shaun George’s links with Anoop, brother of actor Dileep.
Crime Branch has obtained some crucial information from the mobile phone of Anoop who was arrested in the conspiracy case related to the actress attack case. A WhatsApp group and chat were also under the scanner of the probe team. It is reported that Shaun George had visited Dileep in jail. Considering all these facts, Crime Branch set out for a raid at Shaun George’s house.
Crime Branch sources revealed that information of a WhatsApp group which had fake profiles of actress Manju Warrier and DGP B Sandhya was obtained from Anoop’s phone. The probe team suspect that the group ‘Dileepine Poottanam’ was created to prove conspiracy against Dileep.
