Kochi: The Crime Branch is likely to question former DGP R Sreelekha IPS over her recent remarks in the actress attack case of 2017. On the other day, the former DGP said that Dileep was innocent in the case and was framed as part of a larger conspiracy. Her statement triggered a controversy after a video that she uploaded on her YouTube page went viral.

Meanwhile, Crime Branch has denied her claims. TB Mini, the advocate of the survivor of the actress attack case said that former DGP R Sreelekha IPS has shown allegiance towards Dileep from the beginning. She also said that the officer has disregarded the entire police department with her latest allegations in the case.

Sreelekha IPS claimed there is no valid evidence to prove actor Dileep is guilty in the actress attack case. She also criticized the investigation officer for lack of solid evidence to prove the charges against the actor and alleged the presence of conspiracy in the case.

Her remark came through a video titled 'Dileep innocent in Assault Case?' she posted on her Youtube Channel. She claimed it was a fellow prisoner of Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case, who wrote the letter from the prison.

She alleged a serious conspiracy behind Pulsar Suni and raised suspicion that Suni and his team belong to a quotation gang. "They used to embezzle money from people in the past by threatening them. The letter alleged to have been sent by Pulsar Suni from prison came out only after a charge sheet was filed in the case," she added.
