Kochi: The crime branch has imposed new charges against actor Dileep in the case of conspiring to murder investigation officers involved in the actor abduction case. It is learned that the officials have charged the actor for conspiring to murder along with section 120(b) imposed earlier. The report has been filed in the Aluva Magistrate Court. The Crime Branch sought permission from the court to take him under custody for questioning and requested the court not to grant bail to him.

Earlier, the FIR only mentioned that there was conspiracy on the part of the actor. However, an additional report has now been added to this. The new report also reveals the motive behind plans to attack the investigation officers. Additional charges could make the case stronger and thereby allow officials to deny any possible means for bail.

Meanwhile, the High Court adjourned considering Dileep's anticipatory bail application to Saturday. His brother P. Sivakumar (Anoop), Dileep's sister's husband TN Sooraj, Appu, his friends Baiju Chengamanadu and hotel owner Sarath are also accused in the case.
