Kochi: The prosecution in the 2017 actress assault case has raised concerns over the forensic report which stated that the memory card was accessed from a phone while under trial court’s custody.
According to the prosecution this is something grievous and violates the Supreme Court’s order. It may be noted that the survivor had approached the Supreme Court in 2019 against accused Dileep’s plea seeking the visuals. The survivor stated that sharing visuals to the accused will affect her dignity. The apex court then observed that special vigil should be maintained while showing visuals to the accused and others. The defendant should be restricted from bringing mobile phones as there is probability of capturing the visuals, the SC order said.
It is learnt that the prosecution will take up the forensic revelation and the SC order when the Kerala High Court considers the investigation team’s request seeking extension of deadline for submission of probe report in the case on Tuesday.
