Kochi: The trial court observed that the police have no right to probe on the court documents recovered from actor Dileep’s phone in connection with the conspiracy case. The trial court made it clear that probe on court documents comes under the jurisdiction of the court and the police do not have power over it. The prosecution in response asked whether it is important to probe if Dileep had influenced the court staff.
The prosecution also told the court that it is evident that Dileep had already tried to influence many in the case so it is important to know if he had applied the same tactics on the court officials as well.
Earlier, Dileep's mobile phones were subjected to a scientific examination and court documents were found in it. The crime branch team is looking into how these documents came into Dileep's possession. The probe team had said that the court staff should also be questioned. The probe team also approached the court for permission to question the employees.
