Kochi: In the actress assault case, the crime branch has exactly one month to complete probe and submit the report. The high court has ordered to submit the report by May 31.

The head of the crime branch was shifted as the re-probe into the actress assault case and the conspiracy case of Dileep was progressing rapidly in two groups. With that, the investigation slowed down. The review was done after the new head joined on Friday.

The probe team is yet to receive the forensic inspection report of the iMac computer owned by Sai Shankar’s wife. The skeleton of the follow-up investigation has been outlined at a meeting of officials. Meanwhile, ADGP Shaik Darvesh Saheb, head of the crime branch, has directed the probe team not to leak any information.
