Kochi: The crime branch's (CB) further probe on the actor assault case of 2017 has claimed that the data in the memory card that was in the custody of the court have been leaked. In response, the trial court asked the team to furnish details corroborating the allegations in a sealed cover.
Earlier, the survivor had written to the top offices of the country seeking a probe into the reports that the assault visuals were leaked.
The court expressed its dissatisfaction over the CB report on further investigation on the actress assault case. The court held that a three-month extension sought by the probe team for investigation cannot be considered without knowing the progress in the case. The court pointed out that the CB has not included the details of the investigation that happened from February 1 to March 1. The report is not furnished as directed, the court said.
The court has directed the crime branch to furnish the details properly and then submit the report. The court added that the request for extension will be considered only after that. The matter will be considered again on March 10.
