Kochi: Dileep’s brother Anoop and brother-in-law Sooraj, who are accused in the actress assault case, have informed the probe officials that they are willing to appear for questioning on any day. They stated their willingness to appear for interrogation in their reply to the summons by Crime Branch. It is also hinted that Kavya Madhavan’s interrogation may be delayed further.
The CB sources have revealed that the interrogation of Anoop and Sooraj will be carried out soon. The officials could not reach the accused on their phones. Following this, the notice was taken and pasted in their residence but the accused failed to show up for questioning even then. The accused sent in the reply when the Crime Branch was about to take up further measures. The date for interrogation of Anoop and Sooraj will be issued by the Crime Branch soon.
The Crime Branch had earlier issued a notice to Kavya asking her to appear before the probe team for interrogation. However, Kavya insisted that she can appear for interrogation only at her house in Aluva where she lives with her husband and actor Dileep. The interrogation was delayed following this. It is hinted that Balachandra Kumar and others involved in the case will also be summoned and a group interrogation will be conducted.
The CB is also trying to collect more evidence in the case, so Kavya may not be questioned in the coming days. The CB officials are trying to bring her to Aluva Police Club for questioning. According to CB, three more months may be needed for further investigation.
