Kochi: The trial court on Thursday asked the prosecution to explain how the documents submitted in court concerning the actress assault case of 2017 got leaked.
Earlier, the prosecution demanded that court employees and others be brought for questioning after court documents concerning the case were found in a phone owned by Dileep. However, the trial court asked the probe team how documents in possession of the prosecution, including the forward note prepared by the court, ended up on the phone. The court also viewed that these documents also got leaked to the media.
Meantime, the investigation team will hold a meeting in Kochi over further action to be taken on the actress assault case and conspiracy case. The meeting will be chaired by Crime Branch ADGP S Sreejith. He told Mathrubhumi News that the probe will be completed within the time allowed by the court.
The crime branch also submitted further evidence in court in connection with the petition filed requesting the cancellation of bail granted to Dileep.
