It is alleged that he died by suicide due to the apathy of the panchayat administration. A file holder containing complaints he filed with the administration was found near the body.

According to reports, Razak had filed several complaints over the death of his brother, who succumbed to respiratory issues. Razak’s complaints alleged that emissions from the waste treatment plant in the proximity resulted in his brother’s death. He demanded the administration to take action against the plant and held many press conferences over the matter.

However, police have not yet commented on the authenticity of the claims.
