Kannur: A Koovode native woman was subjected to an acid attack on Monday afternoon at Taliparamba. The victim, who was injured in the attack, has been admitted to a private hospital in the area. She works in a local court.
An eyewitness blocked the attack and the injuries to the woman are not severe, it is learnt. However, another person was also injured in the attack and is in a hospital.
The accused, Ashkar, was caught by natives and handed over to the police.
The reason for the attack is unknown at the moment.
