Thrissur: An accused, who got severely injured after jumping out of a police vehicle, died on Saturday while undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital in Thrissur.
The deceased has been identified as Sanu Sony (32), a native of Valiyathura, Thiruvananthapuram.
The incident took place three days back while the accused, who had been under custody, was being taken to Viyyur Jail. Sanu, who sustained a serious injury to his head, was admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital.
He succumbed to his injuries around 9 am on Saturday.
Sanu is an accused in several crimes, including murder, in Thiruvananthapuram, police said.
