Kozhikode: An accused in various matrimonial frauds and organ sales cases fled after being released on bail. DCP KE Baiju said that the police have intensified search for the accused Mujeeb alias Ibnu, 45, from Thrissur.

Ibnu was accused of seven marriage fraud cases and two kidney trading cases reported 11 years ago. The photo of the accused and the information regarding his modus operandi have been shared with the police departments of other states.

Last time Ibnu was arrested was in 2012, for stealing Rs 3.38 lakh and one and a half sovereign gold from a woman while residing in a rented house at Kuttikattoor in Kozhikode. According to reports, he sold the kidneys of two women from Kottayam and Aluva.
