Accused externed from Kannur under KAAPA found dead in Kochi lodge

Kochi: A youth who was externed from Kannur district after imposing Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act (KAAPA) was found dead in Kochi. Vidhun, a resident of Kathiroor, was found hanging in a lodge room. He was involved in several criminal cases in the past three years.

He reached Kochi the previous day and rented a room in a lodge. The lodge owners knocked on his room’s door as he didn’t come out for a long time.

They later informed the police. Police opened the door and found Vidhun hanging in the room. His body has been kept at the district hospital after the completion of the inquest procedure.
