Kochi: Ahead of the Thrikkakara by-election, KPCC state president K Sudhakaran welcomed the votes of the Aam Aadmi Party and Twenty-20. He said that he is seeking their support since congress is a party that stood by its ethics of constitution and secular identity. He added that UDF candidate Uma Thomas is the most ideal candidate that they could vote for.

He pointed out that the Aam Aadmi Party and Twenty-20 never sided with the left anywhere in the country. He pointed out the difference between the two parties and LDF.

"They would not join hands with the left front. Therefore, there is no chance that they could side with the left front in Thrikkakara by-poll," he added.

However, he dismissed chances for Aam Aadmi to get public acceptance and recognition in Kerala as in Delhi. The political conditions and mindsets of people in the state are different, he pointed out.
