Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan has criticized Congress leader K Sudhakaran, who insulted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Sudhakaran's remark about the Chief Minister was mean and against the culture of a modern society. The Congress leadership should make their stand clear on this matter, Vijayaraghavan said while addressing the media.
Sudhakaran might be talking like this due to the lack of awareness about the history of Kerala. The state has developed a lot and many changes have occurred culturally. Sabarimala issue is under consideration of the Supreme Court. Legislating a new law at this phase is impossible. Congress is only trying to fool the public, he added.
CPM's candidate list includes people from all categories. Those who won elections twice will be excluded. Experienced candidates will be given priority during the formation of government. The LDF rally will be organised adhering to COVID protocol, Vijayaraghavan said.
LDF will organise two rallies as part of its election campaign. The rally that starts from Kasaragod and ends at Thrissur will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. CPI general secretary D Raja will inaugurate the rally that starts from Thiruvananthapuram and concludes at Ernakulam.
