A.M.M.A members demand Bineesh Kodiyeri's expulsion during executive committee meeting
Kochi: Members of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (A.M.M.A) have demanded that Bineesh Kodiyeri should be ousted from the organisation.
The demand was made during the executive committee meeting on Friday that was attended by A.M.M.A president Mohanlal.
Executive member Baburaj had stated that Bineesh Kodiyeri’s membership, Edavela Babu’s remark against the actress who was attacked, actress Parvathy’s resignation and the issue of Ganesh Kumar MLA’s PA will be discussed at the meeting. Rachana Narayanankutty had given a similar response.
Majority of the members demanded that Bineesh Kodiyeri should be ousted from the organisation.
Actor Dileep was suspended from the organisation in connection with the actress attack case. Members of the organisation cannot be given different treatments. So, Bineesh, who was arrested by ED and NCB in connection with the Bengaluru drugs case, should be given the same treatment as actor Dileep.
Bineesh Kodiyeri has been a member of A.M.M.A since 2009. He is a lifetime member of the organisation. As per the organisation’s statute book, only the executive committee can expel its members.
