A.M.M.A accepts Parvathy’s resignation, to seek explanation from Bineesh Kodiyeri
Kochi: The executive meeting of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A) has accepted the resignation of actress Parvathy Thiruvothu here on Friday. Meanwhile, the association will seek an explanation from actor Bineesh Kodiyeri who was booked in the money laundering case related to drug bust in Bengaluru.
A.M.M.A has taken the action after many members demanded to oust Bineesh from the association in view of the cases against him.
Some members demanded that the association should take similar action that was taken in the case of actor Dileep who was booked in actress attack case. Meanwhile, some others took stance that the association should not take any action immediately.
Bineesh is a lifetime member of the association since 2009.
A.M.M.A members including president Mohanlal and secretary Edavela Babu attended the executive meeting.
The meeting also decided to increase the insurance amount of the members from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and accident insurance coverage from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.
A.M.M.A general secretary Edavela Babu informed that the new office building in Kochi will be inaugurated in January.
