Malappuram: Indian Union Muslim League state secretary and party strongman from Thrissur district KS Hamsa has been removed from all positions in the organisation pending inquiry, said the party in a statement published on its mouthpiece.

The move is over his continuous interdisciplinary actions.

Hamsa had reportedly criticised party national general secretary PK Kunhalikutty over the latter's alleged soft corner for LDF and CPM. According to sources, the supporters of Kunhalikutty created ruckus while Hamsa was speaking at a party meeting held in Kochi. Reports suggested that Kunhalikutty offered to resign from the party post following the criticism of Hamsa and others. However, the party has outrightly denied the news in public.

The announcement of action against Hamsa comes a day later through the party newspaper.
