Alappuzha: An 80-year-old woman was hacked to death at Mulakuzha in Chengannur. The deceased has been identified as Annamma Varghese, a native of Mulakuzha. The police have taken her relative Rinju Sam into custody in connection with the incident.
Annamma and Rinju were living in the same house. According to primary assumption, Rinju suffers from mental disorders.
“There were more than 20 stab wounds on the victim’s body,” said the police.
