Thrissur: More than 80 sovereigns of gold were stolen from a house in Kunnamkulam here, said a police complaint.
The incident happened in the house of LIC division agent Devi, who resides in Sastri Nagar.
The family had gone out to attend a marriage function. The theft was discovered when they returned at two in the afternoon.
The thief broke into the house through the door on the first floor. The gold was inside a room on the same floor.
