8 medical teams to list people who were in contact with COVID-19 diagnosed family

Pathanamthitta: The state government has appointed eight medical teams to identify those who were in contact with the family, who were tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Italy.

Each medical team will have seven members including two doctors. A complete list of people who came in contact with the COVID-19 diagnosed family will be prepared by Sunday evening.



The five people who have been tested positive for COVID-19 have been admitted to the isolation ward of Pathanamthitta Government General Hospital.

The first person to seek treatment at the hospital was the brother of the 55-yearold who returned from Italy. Those who treated them are also under observation.

Meanwhile, three churches in Ranni cancelled holy mass on Sunday over COVID-19 fears. The COVID-19 affected are members of one of the three churches.
