Kannur: Adding to the list of unique Guinness World Records, a new record has been created for the longest brownie cake. Brownnies Bakery from Kannur and New Cochin Bakery in Kozhikode is behind this 700-foot-long cake.

The cake was readied by a team led by MK Ranjith and MP Ramesh. The duo comes from the family of Thalassery native Mambally Bapu, who made the first Christmas cake in the country.

The cake weighs 2,800 kg and cost around 50 lakh. It was laid out at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kannur.

The cake features 75 years of Indian Independence as its theme and highlights women's empowerment.
