6 NRIs repatriated on Monday hospitalized with COVID symptoms


Four persons arrived at Karipur from Bahrain and two arrived at Kochi from Dubai were hospitalized.

Kozhikode: Six NRIs who were repatriated on Monday night were hospitalized after they showed symptoms of COVID-19. Four persons arrived at Karipur from Bahrain and two arrived at Kochi from Dubai were hospitalized.

As the four passengers landed in Karipur showed symptoms, they were shifted to Kozhikode medical college by bringing ambulance in the runway without allowing them to contact with other passengers. Three among them are Kozhikode natives and one hails from Palakkad.

Two passengers arrived at Nedumbassery airport from Dubai on Monday night also showed COVID symptoms and were shifted to Kalamassery medical college.

Doha flight to reach on Wednesday

The Doha-Thiruvananthapuram flight that was cancelled the other day will reach in the wee hours of Wednesday. The flight will take off from Qatar at 7 pm IST and will reach Thiruvananthapuram by 12.40 am.

Two flights will conduct service on Tuesday for repatriating NRIs. Air India Express will conduct service in Kochi-Singapore-Bengaluru-Kochi route. The flight will reach back Kochi at 10.50 pm. Air India service from Dammam to Kochi will reach at 8.30 pm.
