Kozhikode: Six more residents of an apartment complex in Kozhikode tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. 5 persons from one residence in the apartment had tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
The 11 positive cases belong to an apartment complex on P. T. Usha road in Kozhikode. A security guard at the apartment complex had tested positive for the virus after committing suicide. Following this 11 persons belonging to the apartment tested positive for COVID-19.
The new COVID-19 cases are two males aged 32 and 22 and three females aged 45, 43 and 70 and a 10-year-old boy. The 70-year-old woman is a native of Perambra and had come to her daughter’s flat on June 25. Their health conditions remain satisfactory.
As 11 persons form the same flat tested positive for the virus, the health department has issued special directions to the residents. The district administration issued the new directions after finding that the residents were not maintaining COVID-19 protocol.
