Thiruvananthapuram: The e-health system has been set up in 509 government hospitals and labs in Kerala, said minister Veena Goerge. It will be extended to all hospitals and labs run by the state gradually, she added.
With the e-health environment, hospitals can offer all their services online. The OP tickets can be booked from home and lab results can be accessed online.
Out of the 3.04 crore registrations so far on e-health, 32.4 lakh users have taken a permanent Unique Health Identification.
Digitalisation of health services is moving faster in Kerala, she said. Besides, a mobile app for lifestyle deceases, cancer grid and cancer care circuit to coordinate the diagnosis and treatment, a strong e-sanjeevani for online consultation are also available in Kerala, she said.
Aadhaar number is mandatory to register for UHID. Once registered, the account can be used for all purposes related to health services of the government.
