Palakkad: A five-year-old girl died after being hit by a car while crossing a road in the Ariyoor region of Kandamangalam here on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Fathima Nahla.
The tragic incident happened around 3 pm. She along with her mother were crossing the road.
The car hit the girl and she suffered critical injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was soon pronounced dead.
