The gang left the place with the owner’s number and later phoned the owner saying he will have to pay Rs 40,000 or otherwise they would file a complaint.

After bargaining, they decided to settle for Rs 25,000 to not file a complaint. The gang also threatened to spread fake news about the hotel on social media. The gang upon questioning confessed that they had a part in closing down another hotel in Vengara three weeks back.
