Kochi: The body of the three-year-old boy who died after being beaten up his mother in Aluva has been buried at Kochi Palakkamugal Vadacode Juma Masjid. The body that was kept at Kalamassery Medical College was brought to the mosque by Saturday afternoon.
Police allowed the child’s mother Jharkhand native Hena and Bengal native Shajith Khan to see the body of the child at Medical College Hospital. Both have been remanded for beating up the boy to death.
The three-year-old was brought to Rajagiri hospital on Tuesday afternoon with severe head injuries. The father had told the doctors that the child fell down in the kitchen. But the wounds and burn injuries on the child’s body led to suspicion and the doctors informed the police.
Later, the parents were interrogated by the police and it was confirmed that the boy was beaten up the mother. The child was subjected to an emergency surgery following brain haemorrhage. However, his condition worsened on Thursday and the child died on Friday morning.
