Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old girl was killed after a tipper lorry rammed into a scooter carrying a family in Parasala. The deceased has been identified as Rithika, the daughter of Yahova( 30) and Aswini (26). The couple was also injured in the accident.
The accident happened on Friday while the family was travelling on a scooter from Thiruvananthapuram to Kaliyikkavila. The family was tossed off their scooter due to the force with which the lorry rammed their vehicle. Meanwhile, both parents sustained serious injuries and shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for treatment.
It is learnt that Rithika died on the spot. Aswini is seventh months pregnant.
