Kollam: Three youngsters were arrested in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of a girl in Thiruvananthapuram. The individuals arrested are Jaseer, Noufal, and Niyas, who also hail from Thiruvananthapuram.
According to police, Jaseer abducted the girl from Kundara with the help of two accomplices. Later, he sexually assaulted her at a house in Palod in Thiruvananthapuram. The two accomplices were booked for assisting Jaseer.
Jaseer met the girl through Instagram and earned her trust. She was found missing from her house on January 18. Later, the family filed a complaint before the police.
Examining girl's social media accounts led the police to Jaseer.Later, officials located the girl at a house in Palod. The accused were also nabbed from here. The police also seized the vehicle used by them.
Jaseer is an accused in four other criminal cases, police noted.
