Thrissur: Three members of a family were found dead inside their house at Mambully in Kandassamkadavu here. The deceased were identified as Mambully native Korath Gopalan (78), wife Mallika (70) and son Rijoy (40).
The family was found to have hanged themselves. Gopalan and Rijoy were found hanged inside the room in the front and Mallika in the room near the kitchen. Three suicide notes were found from the house.
It is learnt that the issues related to Rijoy’s marriage led to the suicide. The locals said that the councillor who came to discuss the issues had behaved rudely to the family. Anthikkad police completed inquest.
