3-meter-long cloth found from women’s belly 9 days after delivery
Ambalappuzha (Alappuzha): In a shocking incident, a cloth measuring around 3 metres in length came out from the belly of a 21-year-old woman just nine days after childbirth.
The woman delivered her child at Alappuzha Medical College on January 26. The woman had suffered heavy bleeding after childbirth, her relatives said.
The woman was brought out of the labour room only after nine hours. She was discharged from hospital on January 29.
On Sunday afternoon, the woman had a severe stomach ache. The cloth came out when she went to the bathroom. Soon after this, the woman swooned and was rushed to medical college hospital.
The relatives have lodged a complaint with the police and also presented their matter before the hospital Superintendent over phone.
A report has been sought from the doctors concerned and Gynaecology department head, said Dr R V Ramlal, Superintendent, Alappuzha Medical College hospital. The woman’s health is stable. Once the doctors’ file their response, necessary action will be initiated, Ramlal said.
