Ajeesh, Liji and Kunjan
Anthikad (Thrissur): When Ajeesh went for work at a house in Peruvallur, he happened to see a three-legged puppy. He noticed that other puppies were pushing this puppy while feeding on mother's milk. So he called his wife Liji to tell the story and also sent a picture of the puppy. He took the puppy with him.
Thus the little pup reached Ajeesh's house with a skinny body starved of mother's milk. Now after five months, the same puppy has become healthy and active with his love and care. He is the apple of the eye of all at the rented house in Peringottukara. The three-legged puppy is fondly called Kunjan and is living happily with 'Charlie', the German Shepherd, and 'Chikku', the Pomeranian.
Kunjan was only one-month-old when he was carried in a cardboard box to Ajeesh's house. He was fed with milk and arrowroot biscuit. But now he likes to have even ripe mangoes. He used to be carried on shoulders like a baby when he was small. He sleeps on the bed with Ajeesh and Liji. They have arranged a tiny bed for him filling it with old clothes inside a two wheeler tyre.
On calling 'Kunjappi', Kunjan comes running on his three legs. Though he does not have the right front leg by birth, he can run fast. He wants to get toffees from Ajeesh when he comes back from work. The puppy waits on the doorstep by the time Ajeesh returns. A construction worker, Ajeesh lives with his wife Liji and father Ashokan.
