Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister Antony Raju said that 25 per cent of buses to be acquired by KSRTC in future would be electric. His remark came during the inauguration of 145 electric charging stations launched by KSEB in Thiruvananthapuram.

KSRTC will provide Rs 756 crore to buy electric buses through KIIFB. Minister said that the public would be keen to purchase electric vehicles if more charging stations are launched and rectify issues with distance covered in a single charge.

KSEB is planning to install 56 fast charging stations and 1165 pole mounting charging stations in Kerala.
