24-year-old Sikkim woman working in a hotel found hanging at Kovalam

Thiruvananthapuram: A 24-year-old woman was found hanging at her rented house in Beach Road, Kovalam on Saturday morning. The deceased has been identified as Vedhanshi (24), a native of Sikkim, who had been working as a housekeeping staff at a private hotel here.

The incident came to light after her housemate intimated the matter to the neighbourhood family. The housemate reportedly was in search of her and later found the woman hanging. The body was found in a sitting posture.

Police have registered a case and forensic experts visited the spot. Reports said her family members will reach Kerala on Sunday. The body has been kept at the Government Medical College.
