Kannur: A youth was killed in a wild jumbo attack in Cherupuzha, Kannur on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ebin (21), a native of Vazhakundam, Kannur.

As per reports, the youth was found severely injured at a farm land adjoining the forest borders. According to the locals, the elephant had kicked him on his chest. Although Ebin was rushed to hospital, he could not be saved.

The elephant attack took place near to the Karnataka forest borders. However, the youth was found injured within the Kerala forest region, said the forest department officials, who claimed that the attack did not take place in the farm land.
