Kochi: The trial in the actress assault case will resume on November 10 at the Kochi court.
The principal sessions judge court is rushing to complete the hearing as the Supreme Court has set a deadline of January 31.
Earlier, when the trial was nearing the end, the process was adjourned as the crime branch was conducting further investigation. At that time, only the investigative officer, Baiju M Paulos, was left to take the stand as per the original chargesheet.

As part of the latest findings, the crime branch filed an additional chargesheet. The prosecution demanded the fresh examination of 39 witnesses. The court has summoned 36 of them. It includes director Balachandrakumar and IT ‘expert’ Sai Kumar.
The decision on the other three witnesses. including Manju Warrier, will be taken later.
