2 PG doctors at Kottayam Medical College test +ve for COVID-19
Kottayam: Two PG doctors at Kottayam Medical College have tested positive for COVID-19. The doctors belonged to gynaecology and pathology departments of the hospital. Health department infers that they could have contracted the disease through contact.
Five people, including 2 pregnant women, were tested positive in Kottayam Medical College the other day. It is suspected that the doctors could have infected with the virus from them. Several doctors of the medical college have been kept under observation after the two doctors tested positive.
A driver at KSRTC depot has also tested positive for the disease. Following this, the conductor and the vehicle supervisor have been quarantined. KSRTC authorities said that the driver appeared for duty till July 20.
