Kozhikode: Two more persons have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the state taking the total number of coronavirus positive cases in Kerala to 93. The two patients are from Kozhikode and the total cases in the district has risen to four. In addition to this, one person from Kasaragod affected with COVID-19 is under treatment in Kozhikode medical college. This was officially confirmed by the district collector.
The third person confirmed with COVID-19 arrived at Kozhikode international airport from Dubai in Indigo Airlines (6E89) on March 17 at 10.15 in the morning. He went to his house in a private vehicle by 11 and was under isolation at his house. He went to Nadapuram Government Hospital by 8 at night on the same day in his vehicle. The doctor asked him to stay in home-quarantine. He continued in isolation from March 17 to 21. Meanwhile, he showed some symptoms on March 21 and was immediately shifted to the isolation ward in the medical college.
The fourth person arrived at Chennai international airport from Dubai in Air India flight (AI906) on March 20. He reached Chennai city at 5.30 in the morning. He stayed at his friend's house from 5.30 am to 8 pm. He went to MGR Central Railway Station between 8 and 8.30 am and boarded the B3 coach of Chennai-Mangaluru Express (12601). He reached Kozhikode railway station platform number 4 on March 21 by 7.35 am. After checkup at the corona help desk in the station, he was admitted to Kozhikode beach hospital in a 108 ambulance by 8 in the morning.
The Kasaragod native being treated at Kozhikode medical college arrived at Kozhikode international airport from Dubai in Air India flight (AI938) on March 19. He was directly taken to the medical college in a 108 ambulance at 9.30 am and was shifted to the COVID-19 isolation ward.
