2 more COVID deaths reported from Kasaragod, Aluva
Kasaragod/Aluva: Two more deaths due to COVID-19 has been reported in the state on Friday. One death was reported from Kasaragod while the other in Ernakulam.
Kasaragod Thrikkaripur native Abdurahman (70) died on Thursday and was confirmed with COVID-19. Abdurahman died while being taken to Pariyaram medical college. His fluid test was performed at Kanhangad district hospital. However, the test results came after his death only. With this, the number of COVID deaths in Kasaragod rose to eight.
Abdurahman had participated in a wedding ceremony held at Thrikkaripur. 13 other persons who attended the function have already tested positive for COVID-19. Abdurahman's body is currently kept at Pariyaram medical college. Last rites will be held as per COVID protocol.
In another incident, a person who was under treatment at Ernakulam Government medical college has succumbed to COVID-19. The deceased was identified as Aluva Edayappuram native M P Ashraf (53). It is learnt that he was already suffering from diabetes and blood pressure.
