Kozhikode: Two people in the district were confirmed with COVID-19 on Sunday. A 78-year-old Nadapuram Parakkal native man who arrived from Dubai on May 7 and a 23-year-old Orkkatteri native woman who came from Kuwait on May 13 tested positive for COVID-19.

The former was quarantined in the COVID care centre at NIT hostel and was admitted in Kozhikode medical college on May 16. The latter was quarantined at Omassery nursing hostel and was admitted in medical college on May 15. Both were tested positive in the fluid sample test and their condition is stable.

At present, there are nine Kozhikode natives, a Malappuram native and a Kasaragod native under treatment in Kozhikode medical college hospital after they were diagnosed with COVID-19.
