16 new COVID-19 hotspots in Kerala; total hits 195


15 areas have been removed from the list

Thiruvananthapuram: There are 16 new hotspots in Kerala while 15 areas were removed from the list. With this, the total number of hotspots in the state rose to 195 on Saturday.

The new hotspots are:

Ernakulam

Chengamanad (ward 14), Karumalloor (ward 4), Sreemoolanagaram (4), Vazhakulam (ward 19), Malayattoor-Neeleswaram (ward 13) and Vadakkekara (15)

Alappuzha

Vallikunnam (wards 2, 3), Puliyoor (ward 1), Alappuzha municipality (1) and Ala (ward 13)

Kottayam

Manarcad (ward 8)

Idukki

Kanjikkuzhi (wards 10, 11, 14) and Vathikkudi (wards 11, 14)

Wayanad

Kottathara (ward 5) and Kaniyambatta (ward 12)

Palakkad

Kulukkallur (ward 7)

Meanwhile, 15 areas have been removed from the list of hotspots. They are:

Kannur

Irikkur (ward 2), Kadambur (ward 3), Kadannappally-Panappuzha (ward 7, 10), Kottiyur (ward 11), Karumathur (wards 2, 10) Madayi (ward 7), Pappinisseri (ward 16), Thillankeri (ward 10)

Palakkad

Lakkidi Perur (ward 9), Thachampara (ward 5), Thrikkadeeri (ward 10), Thirumittakkod (ward 8), Nallepilly (ward 7), Koduvayur (ward 13)

Alappuzha

Ambalappuzha south (ward 2)
