Thrissur: A 13-year-old boy died after suffering from diarrhoea in Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Hamadan, son of Anaz. The child, who came back after a tour in Vagamon, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur.

According to the boy’s family, Hamadan died due to food poisoning. Anaz and family embarked on the trip on May 2. On their way back, they had consumed food including biriyani.

Following which, Hamadan and three other children were admitted to a private hospital as they showed symptoms of fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.

The body has been sent to the medical college hospital in Thrissur for postmortem.
