13 Sabarimala pilgrims injured as vehicle falls into gorge in Idukki


Peruvanthanam (Idukki): As many as 13 Sabarimala pilgrims were injured in an accident in Peruvanthanam on Tuesday.

Their multi utility vehicle lost control in a turn and fell into a gorge. Though a crash barrier was installed, it couldn’t stop the vehicle from falling into the gorge.

After the accident, traffic on the Mundakayam-Kuttikkanam road was disrupted. Natives, police and the fireforce rushed to the spot to rescue the victims.
