Thiruvananthapuram: There are 13 new COVID-19 hotspots in Kerala on Sunday taking the total number of hotspots in the state to 124.
The new hotspots are:
Kottayam municipality (ward 36), Pallukkathod (ward 8) and Karukachal (ward 7) in Kottayam district. Vattakulam (all wards), Edappal (all wards), Alangod (all wards), Ponnani Municipality (all wards except 1, 2, 3, 50 and 51), Maranjeri (all wards) and Pulpatta (ward 7) in Malappuram district. Aroor (ward 1) and Chennithala (ward 14) in Alappuzha district. Parakkadavu (ward 8) and Kochi corporation (ward 67) in Ernakulam district.
Kerala recorded 118 new COVID cases on Sunday while 42 people recovered from the disease. 14 people contracted the disease through contact.
It was for the 10th consecutive day that Kerala is recording over 100 new coronavirus cases.
